Attending a ballet, opera, or orchestral performance is always a popular answer to what to do in NY.

Attending a ballet, opera, or orchestral performance is always a popular answer to what to do in NY. New York is home to some of the world’s top talent, but every now and then, a visiting company is so special that patrons will flock to Central Park hotels from all over the country to witness their performance.

For two weeks in July, Lincoln Center will welcome the Bolshoi Ballet, the Bolshoi Orchestra, the Bolshoi Chorus, and the Bolshoi Opera. The word Bolshoi means big or grand, and that is exactly what audiences can expect when they attend one of these performances.

The Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, which was built in 1825, is home to these world-class performers, but New York City is fortunate enough to have the opportunity to welcome them this year.

The Bolshoi Ballet will present three productions. The first is Swan Lake. The second is Don Quixote. The final production, called Spartacus, was created specifically for the Bolshoi Ballet to showcase the power of the company’s male dancers.

The Bolshoi Opera, Bolshoi Orchestra, and Bolshoi Chorus will work together to offer a beautiful production called The Tsar’s Bride. All of the performances are sure to be filled with drama and emotion, and they will be a highlight of a visit to New York.

The Quin – a Central Park hotel is located near Lincoln Center. Guests at our hotel will also enjoy the many nearby NYC restaurants, attractions, and shopping venues. Reserve your tickets for one of these unforgettable performances.
